What You’ll Do

  • One-to-One Coaching — guide seniors through e-mail, video calls, online banking, or the latest smartphone tricks.

  • Quick-Fix Clinics — spend a couple of hours each month at community centres solving common glitches.

  • Remote Rescue — jump onto a screen-share and troubleshoot from the comfort of your own desk.

What kinds of tech problems can DigiMate solve online?

Almost anything you’d normally ask a grandchild or friendly neighbour to fix!
Our coaches can help you set up a new phone or tablet, join a video call, install safe-browsing tools, back-up photos, reset forgotten passwords and more. The session takes place via video or a simple phone call—whichever you prefer—and you’ll see each step on-screen so you can repeat it next time on your own.

How does an in-person visit work and what does it cost?

Book a slot on our website or call us toll-free. We’ll match you with a vetted DigiMate technician who will arrive at your home (or community centre) within 48 hours, carrying ID and a service checklist.
The first hour is a fixed fee of €39, then €15 per half-hour after that. Most common jobs—printer installation, Wi-Fi tuning, smart-TV set-up—fit comfortably into the first hour. No hidden charges, and you only pay once the problem is solved to your satisfaction.

I’m over 60 and would love to help others—how can I join Seniors for the Community?

Wonderful! Just fill out the short form on our “Join the Team” page or call us. We’ll invite you to a relaxed online orientation where we explain the programme, do a quick skills assessment and run a background check for everyone’s safety. After that you choose your own schedule: some volunteers mentor neighbours one-to-one, others host group workshops. We provide continuous training, a resource toolkit and a small stipend to cover travel expenses. It’s a rewarding way to keep your skills sharp and make a real difference in the community.
